What does a proper estate plan include?

The documents comprising an estate plan generally include a will. If you have a trust-based estate plan, that plan will also include a trust. And then complementary to the will and the trust we have general and durable powers of attorney, designations of healthcare surrogates, living wills, and HIPAA premade authorizations. Taken together, all these documents provide the legal authority that necessary in order to deal with you and your affairs in the event that you become incapacitated.
